Here are a few simple reminders to help keep you safe, secure and stress-free this December:

• Heading away for the holidays? Let a trusted neighbour know you will be away and avoid sharing travel plans or check-ins on social media
• Keep an eye out for parcel deliveries and dispose of packaging discreetly to help deter thieves
• Use timers for lights, keep valuables out of sight and make sure doors and windows are securely locked
• Check Christmas tree lights are in good working order, unplug them when not in use and keep trees away from heat sources
• Never leave candles unattended and keep them well clear of anything flammable
• Make sure valuables such as jewellery and high value gifts are adequately insured. If you’re unsure, just ask – we’re happy to help
